On October 12th, Chairman Yan Shengjun, Vice President Lu Ping, and Assistant to the Chairman Xiao Xuebing of China Tianying visited Datong City in Shanxi Province for an inspection. They held talks with Lu Dongliang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Datong Municipal Party Committee, engaging in in-depth exchanges regarding strengthening cooperation in the field of new energy.
Recently, China Tianying signed an "Investment Agreement" with the Management Committee of the Yungang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Datong City. The agreement outlines plans to invest in and construct a 100MW/400MWh gravity energy storage project and related industries in the local area. At the same time, the Yungang District will strive to secure a 1.9GW grid connection quota for wind and solar power generation for the project through relevant departments.
During the meeting, Secretary Lu Dongliang extended a warm welcome on behalf of the Datong Municipal Committee and Government to the visit of China Tianying. He introduced the development of the new energy industry in Datong City. Secretary Lu pointed out that Datong has always paid great attention to new energy storage technology and related industries, supporting the implementation of projects with vitality and prospects in Datong. He affirmed that Datong will provide a first-class business environment and quality services for the implementation of China Tianying's gravity energy storage and related projects in Datong. Furthermore, he encouraged China Tianying to undertake more significant projects in Datong, such as gravity energy storage facilities and the harmless, reduced, and resourceful utilization of coal gangue, thereby transforming the Datong gravity energy storage project into a cultural and tourism landmark.
Chairman Yan Shengjun highly praised the tremendous achievements in economic and social development made by Datong City. He introduced China Tianying's "Environmental Protection + New Energy" dual-engine driving strategy and its global high-quality resources in terms of capital, technology, and talent. He expressed that China Tianying, in accordance with Datong's strategic positioning for gravity energy storage projects, will rapidly and orderly promote the implementation of gravity energy storage projects and related industries in Datong. The aim is to seek comprehensive and deep-level cooperation, combining more advantageous resources with Datong's high-quality development process.
