From September 7th to 11th, the 2023 China Road Cycling League (Fangchenggang Station) and the 1st National Student (Youth) Games Cycling (Road) Test Race were held in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, China. In order to ensure the environmental sanitation during the league with high standards and quality, and to implement the spirit of relevant documents such as the "Comprehensive Renovation Work Division Table for the Cityscape Environment of the Test Race," and provide a clean and beautiful urban environment for the event, Fangchenggang TianYing formulated a special sanitation support plan.
During the preparatory stage, the main focus was on deep cleaning of sidewalks. From Zhenyuling Bridge to the T-junction of Huandao East Road, the sidewalk on one side is approximately 10 kilometers long and 2.5 meters wide, covering an area of 50,000 square meters. Fangchenggang Yinghuan increased its cleaning efforts to ensure that the roads are clean, free from sand accumulation and weeds. The mechanized cleaning operation on the roads totaled 352 hours and used 7,392 tons of water, aiming to significantly reduce dust accumulation. At the same time, mobile cleaning vehicles were dispatched to patrol and inspect garbage bin locations at the event venue, promptly cleaning and collecting garbage, reducing the time garbage stays, and avoiding overflowing bins and litter accumulation.
Six hours before the event opening, Fangchenggang TianYing implemented full-day cleaning along the race track. All personnel and vehicles were in place, and emergency response leaders from relevant departments arrived early at the scene to command the operations. At 4:30 a.m. on the race day, the cleaning team started cleaning the race track, conducted patrols and inspections two hours before the race, and cleaned the garbage bins and fruit peel boxes along the track one hour before the race, ensuring that the garbage is contained within the bins and there are no blind spots for trash outside the bins. Additionally, quick cleaning and litter picking were carried out during the race.
Thanks to the unremitting efforts of all employees of Fangchenggang TianYing, the sanitation support for this race was a complete success, and the event environment received unanimous praise from all sectors of society.
